Komodo Liveaboard & Scuba

Komodo National Park Tours

Enjoy time on a Komodo Liveaboard offers many options. If you are ready to spend a day seeing Komodo dragons on Komodo Island or Rinca, than contact us and we can set up a Komodo Park tour or you.  We have day trips, 2 day/1 night, and 3 day/2 night tours.

One Day Trip (slow boat or fast boat)
For out one day trips we visit Komodo Island or Rinca and also take you to a few beautiful snorkeling spots to see the diverse marine biodiversity around the National Park area. For our one day tour, we visit Rinca Island, Komodo Island, Pink Beach and depending on time even more places depending on your choice or requests.

We do have two options for getting to the islands.  Sailing Komodo is something we highly recommend.
1. You can choose a Local wooden boat, which is the most common.  We start very early in the morning, depending on the season, but typically around 5am in the morning.  To make it from Labuan Bajo to Rinca is typically about 2 hours.

2. You can choose a Speed boat (a different price) As the name says, a speed boat is much faster than a local slow boat. With the speed boat (depending on the season) we can usually leave about 8am.  Having a speed boat can be a bit more comfortable than taking a slow boat.  By choosing a speed boat, it is based on doing a private tour so you will not be sharing with other people.

2 Day/ 1 Night Komodo Tour.
We can arrange a pick up at your hotel or meet at the local harbor in Labuan Bajo to begin the 2 day/1 night Komodo dragon tour.  There are the same options for water transportation which is a local slow boat or speed boat.  It depends on your request and how what fits you time and desired budget.  The tour includes taking a boat to Padar island and trekking up to the top of the island to see an absolutely beautiful view of wonderful hills and beaches.  We will also visit Rinca or Komodo island, which both are famous for Komodo dragons and other wildlife.  In between days we will come back to Labuan Bajo, so you can stay in your hotel.  On day 2, we will visit either Komodo or Rinca (depending on the first day), and do some trekking around the island. You will have different options of trials to choose from.  Next we will visit the stunning beach known as pink beach and do some snorkeling in crystal clear waters.  This is a great time to relax, enjoy the sun and snorkel.   We will also visit Siaba island which is another great place for snorkeling.  It is very well know for sea turtles.  After that we will begin heading back to Labuan Bajo.

3 Day/ 2 Night Komodo Tour
We will start and finish in Labuan Bajo in West Flores.  Considering we always have to check with the national park rangers, we may always have to mix up the days and order depending on how many boats are allowed in each part of the national park.  We have a rough Schedule for Day 1-3, but are order of islands can change depending on the local authorities.

Day 1.
We will start in Labuan Bajo.  We can arrange pick up for you.   We will take a local slow boat to Kelor island/Menjerite to do some snorkeling, swimming, and relaxing. Then head to Rinca Island or Komodo Island for some afternoon trekking to see the famous Komodo dragons and other wildlife on the island.  After our trek we will take the boat too Kalong Island to see possibly thousands of Fruit bats which fly out of the mangrove forests.  We can also enjoy a beautiful sun set after that.  The Lunch, Dinner, will be on the boat and we will sleep over night on the boat.

Day 2.
We will start in the morning but heading to Padar Island to do some amazing trekking.  We will have breakfast on the boat or on the Island.  Once on top of Padar island (weather depending) you will see absolutely stunning views all around you.  It is so worth the 30-45 min hike to the top.   Next we will boat to Pink Beach to enjoy some snorkel, swim, and relax.  After Pink beach we will go to either Komodo Island or Rinca (depending on the first day) to do some trekking and see the Komodo dragons and other wildlife.  After trekking on the island we will take the boat around the island and sleep overnight not the boat.  Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner will be provided.

Day 3.
On the last day, we will have breakfast on the boat and then head to Taka Makasar which is also known as Manta Point.  It is very common to see manta ways while snorkeling.  We can not guarantee to see Mantas but it is quite common.  It can also depend on the season as well.  Next we will head to Siaba Island for some beautiful snorkeling and hopefully see some sea turtles as that area is a very good place to see them.   After Siaba Island we will go to the beautiful island of Kanawa to swim, relax, and snorkel.  After that we will take the boat back to harbor in Labuan Bajo and we can take care of your transportation back to your hotel.  Breakfast and lunch will be served on the boat.

No matter what tour you take, we are here to make sure you have a great and rememberable experience.   Although these dragons may not be able to fly or breathe fire, but they are a must see for any visitor to Komodo National Park.  They can be up to 3 meters long and can weigh as much as up to 70Kg.  Komodo Dragons can also run up to 29 Km/h when they are chasing their prey.  They have a venom in their mouths that they inject into their prey once they have the prey in their mouth.  You may even see one that is eating a deer, water buffalo or other animal. Once they get their prey, it bleeds into a bad death.  This is one of the things that are so unique about Komodo dragons.
